Our publishing package brings editorial preparation, book design, publishing setup, and launch preparation into one clearly defined working relationship. We begin by understanding your message and the readers you want to reach.

From manuscript
to published book.

Care for the words you’ve written

A strong publishing process begins with the manuscript. We review your work and provide the copy polishing, proofreading, spelling, grammar, punctuation, readability, and consistency review included in the package. The aim is a clearer, more consistent reading experience while respecting your message and voice. The package includes two rounds of revisions or substantial rewrites at no additional charge within the original agreed manuscript scope. These may include meaningful rewriting, restructuring, additions, deletions, and improvements to your existing manuscript. Routine proofreading and minor grammatical corrections do not ordinarily count against these rounds.

A book prepared for its readers

Professional cover design and interior formatting bring the work together as a finished book. We consider trim size, chapter presentation, headers, page numbers, and front and back matter. The package includes paperback and hardcover editions, eBook preparation, and print-ready PDF and EPUB production, with author review before the final publication steps.

The details behind publication

We prepare an LHP-assigned ISBN, book metadata, and IngramSpark setup and submission. Pricing consultation, category and keyword recommendations, and print-on-demand distribution setup help establish the information and arrangements needed to offer the book through applicable channels. Distribution makes a book available through those channels; it does not guarantee retailer listings, bookstore stocking, or sales.

A considered introduction to your book

Your book description and author biography help readers understand the work and the person behind it. We polish those materials and provide basic promotional graphics and basic book-launch consultation. This is launch preparation; paid advertising, extensive campaigns, and expanded marketing services require a separate discussion and quote.

Copies to share with your community

The package includes 15 paperback copies and 3 hardcover copies after publication, with standard domestic shipping for the initial shipment. Digital promotional copies or equivalent access may also be provided where supported by the applicable platform. Additional printed author copies are available through LHP at the current author-copy terms and applicable fulfillment charges.

Clear publishing terms.

A clear investment

The Professional Publishing Package is $3,495: $1,747.50 to begin and $1,747.50 before final publication submission. We explain the agreed services and responsibilities before the project begins. Additional work is discussed and approved before it is undertaken.

Your copyright stays yours

You retain ownership of your manuscript and original content. The author agreement grants LHP the publishing and distribution rights needed to carry out the project. Review the agreement for the specific permissions, ongoing administration, and termination provisions that apply to your book.

Understanding the 80/20 split

Authors receive 80% of Net Publisher Proceeds; LHP receives 20%. This is a share of amounts LHP actually receives after the agreement’s specified deductions, not a percentage of a book’s retail price. Those deductions include retailer discounts, distributor fees, printing costs, returns, refunds, taxes, shipping, and other direct third-party costs attributable to sales or distribution.

Room to discuss your project

The package includes two rounds of revisions or substantial rewrites at no additional charge within the original agreed manuscript scope. Each round is one consolidated set of requested changes, reviewed and completed by LHP in collaboration with you. Routine proofreading and minor grammatical corrections do not ordinarily count against the two rounds.

Additional revision rounds, extensive new content development, ghostwriting, or work substantially outside the original agreed manuscript scope may incur additional charges. Changes requested after final manuscript approval or once production formatting has begun may also involve additional production charges when extra production work is required, even if both rounds have not been used. Any additional charges are explained and approved by you before work begins.

Illustration, photography, paid advertising, expanded marketing, bulk printing, and website creation are discussed separately.

Start with a conversation about your book. We’ll discuss what fits the package, what may need a separate quote, and the materials needed to move forward.
